N K Desham
N Kuttikrishna Pillai, popularly known as N K Desham is a noted poet and literary critic in Malayalam. He was born in 1936 in a village called Desham near Alwaye in Kerala. He is known mainly for his works like Mudra, which won the Kerala Sahithya Akademi Award in 2009, and the translation of Rabindranath Tagore’s Gitanjali besides his major works like Pavizhamalli, Kanyahrudayam, Uthirmanikal and others.
